Letters to Elected Officials

Elected officials represent us, so we need to let them know our concerns and how we feel on issues. Elected officials want and like to receive letters from their constituents because they may help:
bulletprovide different perspectives on issues
bulletprovide technical or scientific information to support an issue
bulletpoint out weaknesses in a proposed bill
bulletclarify what you and possibly your community feel is important, right, just, etc.
bulletpersuade them to vote for or against specific legislation
