Participate on a Groundwater Committee
or Subcommittee

Portage County Planning and Zoning has turned to the community to form a Groundwater Advisory Committee.  The goal of the Portage County Groundwater Citizens Advisory Committee (PCGCAC) is to develop a strategy and policy for addressing public concerns on groundwater protection and management for recommendation to the Portage County Board. In addition, this Advisory Committee has formed three subcommittees.

Membership on the County Advisory Committee consists of one appointed person from each of the 28 municipalities (city/town/village) in Portage County. Since some municipalities declined participation or lack a representative, current membership consists of 25 members.   If you would like to fill a vacancy or would like to be considered for your community's position in the future, contact your Town Board or Elizabeth Langer, PCGCAC Chair.
