2015 Construction Project Status Update

Project:  CR M (CR G – CR O)
Project Length:  1.74 miles
Project Description:  CR M will be reconstructed by excavating approximately 2 feet of clay sub base material and replacing with 2 feet of sand. The new section of road will consist of the existing pulverized asphalt base, 6 inches of new gravel base and an asphalt driving surface. Deficient culverts will be replaced. Minor reshaping of ditches and slopes will occur as needed. The existing bridge on this highway has been widened utilizing a timber bridge deck extension system. New signs and pavement markings will be installed.

Project:  CR P(through Junction City)
Project Length:  5200 feet - .98 miles
Project Description:  Pulverize existing asphalt pavement, remove concrete, replace and repair deficient culvert pipes and catch basins, repair and replace curb, add gravel as needed, shape base, asphalt paving, gravel shouldering, sign replacements and pavement markings.
Estimated Construction Date:  September of 2015.

Project:  CR DB
Project Length:  5187 feet - .98 miles
Project Description:  Pulverize existing asphalt pavement, replace deficient culvert pipes, add gravel as needed, shape base, asphalt paving, gravel shouldering, sign replacements and pavement markings.
Estimated Construction Date:  September of 2015.

Project:  CR EE (CR N - STH 54)
Project Length:  13,153 feet - 2.49 miles
Project Description:  Pulverize existing asphalt pavement, replace deficient culvert pipes, add gravel as needed, shape base, asphalt paving, gravel shouldering, sign replacements and pavement markings.
Estimated Construction Date:  May 28, 2015, Proposed Finish date of July 10, 2015

Project:  CR EE (CR N - CR GG)
Project Length:  7,144 feet - 1.35 miles)
Project Description:  Pulverize existing asphalt pavement, replace deficient culvert pipes, add gravel as needed, shape base, asphalt paving, gravel shouldering, sign replacements and pavement markings.
Estimated Construction Date:  Completed June 2, 2015

Project:  2015 Chip Seal
Project Description:  Approximately 72 miles of county highways will be chip sealed. Deficient culverts will be replaced, cracks will be filled with rubber crack filler. Road repairs will be wedged with asphalt prior to the chip seal process. New pavement markings will be installed. Please view map for chip seal locations.
