About the Area
Collins Park, located three miles Southwest of Rosholt, Wisconsin, is just one of 24 areas managed by the Portage County Parks Department. This 21 acre wooded park is adjacent to the 42 acre Collins Lake which provides easy access for fisherman, boaters, and swimmers. There’s a picnic lodge, boat ramp, playground equipment, trailer dump station, showers, and small swimming beach.
Camping Information
The 27 site campground is open May 15 – September 30. All sites are provided with electrical hookups. Approximately half the sites can be reserved. Reservations are made at the Portage County Parks office, either in person, through the mail or at the internet address www.co.portage.wi.us with Master Card or VISA and must be made at least 7 days in advance of when a site is to be occupied. Reservations are accepted up to 11 months in advance. The campground also has a handicapped site that can be reserved. A seasonal park manager lives in the park.

Camping Rules
No camping party or camping unit shall occupy any campground more than 14 consecutive days. Exceptions may be authorized by the park manager.
Once the campsite is set up, registered and paid for, it does not need to be occupied for the first 48 hours. After that, the campsite must be occupied every 24 hours.
Camping permits expire at 3:00 P.M. Extensions must be made prior to 10:00 A.M.
Violation of any state law or any rules of the Portage County Park Commission by a member of a camping party is cause for revocation of the camping permit.
Juveniles (under 18 years) cannot register for a campsite and must have adult supervision at the campsite.
