What is the Quick 50 Program?
The Quick 50 Program is being offered by the Portage County Crime Stoppers Organization to area schools, their students, and citizens of Portage County. It pays rewards for information on illegal weapons and drugs in schools according to the following guidelines:
$50.00 for information resulting in the confiscation of any weapon, including guns, knives over 4" etc.
$50.00 for information resulting in the confiscation of any drug, drug paraphernalia, or alcohol, excluding tobacco.
What type of schools participate?
Any junior or senior high school participating in Portage County. Just look for the Quick 50 Program posters placed throughout the school.
Who is eligible to participate in the program?
Any citizen or student attending a participating school in Portage County. All individuals participating in this program will remain anonymous.
How does the quick 50 program work?

The individual with the information simply calls the Portage County Crime Stoppers Hot
Line (1-888-346-6600). This is a non-recorded phone line.

At this time, you will be given a confidential identification number to remain anonymous.
Crime Stoppers then contacts the school to investigate.
- If the school determines the tip to be legitimate, a cash reward is paid according to a method determined by the caller. All individuals calling will remain totally anonymous.
