Portage County Sanitary Landfill Information

The Portage County Sanitary Landfill, owned by Portage County, closed May 31, 2007.  Construction  to properly cap the site was completed at the end of 2007.  The site is being monitored in accordance with Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources requirements.

Waste disposal and public recycling services have moved to the Portage County Solid Waste Transfer Facility located in Plover just east of I-39 and north of County Hwy B (next to the County's Material Recovery Facility.
