Services and Functions
The department's personnel maintains the building functionality ensuring the longevity of the building and grounds. The Facilities Director reports to the County Executive and the department is governed by the Space and Properties Committee. Currently, the Maintenance Department consists of 20 full-time and 5 seasonal employees, and is responsible for ten buildings which total over 350,000 square feet and $56 million in building and content assets.  The mission of the Facilities Management Department is to meet the space and environmental needs of all county departments, while staying within the budget.
