Mission, Purpose, and Goals:

The Portage County Justice Coalition is an advisory body with the charter to achieve justice for the community, victims, and offenders, through effective and appropriate responses to crime and its prevention. Decision making in the coalition is based on collaboration, cooperation, objective data, and proper stewardship of resources. Goals include improving the functioning of the courts and the judicial system by providing increased access for citizens to the courts, to create and revise effective civil and criminal process and procedures, and to improve communications and coordination between the courts and affiliated departments and agencies.
