Lime Lake is a 48 acre groundwater seepage lake with an estimated volume of 804 acre-feet, located in the Town of Amherst, five miles southwest of the Village of Amherst. The lake has a maximum depth of 29 feet, and bottom material is comprised of marl and sand. The shoreline is 2.9 miles without any inlets or outlets. The estimated retention time is 2.4 years. There is public access on the north side of the lake. Residential development is moderate in density. Lime Lake supports a warm water fishery with the fish population dominated by bluegill, largemouth bass, and yellow bullheads.
